Eabametoong Cultural Tourism Showcase – June 16 to 18, 2017
Located about 1000km northeast of Toronto, Eabametoong First Nation takes its name from the Ojibway meaning “place of reversing waters” a phenomenon in which the local river reverses its flow at certain times of the year.

Experience the culture, the land and the heritage of this historic Ojibway community that was home to an early Hudson’s Bay Post. Spend time getting to know local Ojibway people, try indigenous specialty foods, hear stories from the elders, purchase unique works of art, witness a pow-wow social with traditional drum songs and dancers, share in a community feast, see wide life close-up and visit the community’s notable sites.
